I spent the last 6 years out west working with dogs through dog daycare, dogsledding and my dog walking/overnight business.  Through this I discovered my true passion of working with dogs.  During all of this I still felt there was another level to reach with these animals. I just couldn't figure out how to reach that next level of respect and I was tired of seeing my clients being failed by treat based trainers.
I moved back east in 2008 and attended one of Brad's outdoor seminars with my border collie Avalanche.  It was about 5 minutes in that I realized this is the type of training I had been looking for.  No masking or sugar coating just methods that worked and achieved results.  I was quick to discover the CTE course and have never looked back.
I am so excited to now be a CTE and have the knowledge and tools to help others understand their dogs needs, build stronger bonds and earn the respect they deserve from their dogs through methods that work. I have an amazing dog that seems to grow everyday and has taught me so much!

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Avalanche, a 5 year old Border collie born in Whistler B.C.

My mom picked me up at 9 weeks of age and has been an amazing mom ever since.  I have experienced so many things from hikes on a glacier to camping in the woods, seadoos and gondola rides in B.C to the beaches, airplanes and rolling hills in Ontario.  I have been well educated by my mom and know what is expected from me. My favorite food is raw lamb shanks and I love to go for hikes in the woods. When mom has to go away I enjoy staying with gramma & gramps they follow the rules but I can always trick them into an extra ball toss.

You will see me at most group classes and the occasional private. I also attend all group and private dog walks my mom does ... I help keep others in line and on the right track!
